Loneliness and heartbreak are two of the hardest feelings to feel. When we were growing up, we had to learn to protect against these, as we could not manage them. Addictions are often ways of avoiding these feelings, so it is vitally important now to learn how to manage them in loving ways.
Learn to care about yourself enough to be around others who are caring, and accept that you cannot make others care.
